Hiphop and Books!

Uniting Hiphop Lovers & Book Lovers one day at a time

WHAT ARE "HIPHOP & BOOKS" Rallies?

Conversations Book Club & TRU Publishing are glad to offer an entertaining way for people all over the country to have a good time in a family-friendly environment as well as support the need to read and discuss books. Introducing "Hiphop & Books" Rallies! Geared towards lovers of the hiphop community, we give you everything you need: a solid performance from two of the South's rising hiphop stars (Trill & G-Money) and information from Conversations Book Club on how we can get more young people to pick up a book! The rally consists of 4 songs total from our performers, and each area is encouraged to have their own local performers participate. Conversations & TRU will donate $500 worth of brand new book to each city that we visit, including books published by TRU Publishing.

TRU Publishing and other literary partners have worked with Conversations to donate books to be donated to each stop on the tour. It is hoped that half the country will be introduced to the tour by April 2009.
